The Rapaura Springs Reserve Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc is one of New Zealand’s most successful wines brimming with green, grassy flavors inherent to cold-climate Sauvignon Blanc. For this vintage, the grapes were harvested in April following a fairly warm winter and were carefully pressed to extract as much of their juice as possible. This juice was then cold-fermented in stainless steel vats to preserve its distinctive character before being finally bottled at 13% ABV.
On the nose, this pale straw-green wine yields an enticing aroma of guava, passionfruit, pink grapefruit, pineapple, and freshly-cut grass, paving the way for a vibrant and refreshing palate of tropical fruits, stone fruits, melon, bright minerality, and citrus acidity before culminating in a medium-length finish of lush fruit notes.
