Serving as their flagship expression, each batch of the Woodford Reserve Bourbon Whiskey begins its life as a mash bill consisting of 72% corn, 18% rye, and 10% malted barley which is fermented in the traditional sour mash method before being distilled using a combination of column and pot stills. After this initial process, the resulting whiskey then undergoes maturation in new, charred American oak barrels, slowly developing its character over the course of 6-7 years.
