Remaining largely unchanged since its introduction in 1818, the Veuve Clicquot Rose Champagne has long served as one of the house’s signature offerings. Based on their famed Yellow Label Champagne, each bottle of this blended rose begins with Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Meunier grapes which are sourced from 50 to 60 different crus in the Champagne region.
Following the harvest, the grapes are de-stemmed, washed, and pressed, extracting as much of their juices as possible to be fermented in separate vats to preserve their flavors. The resulting wines are then carefully blended alongside reserve wines and a red wine specifically crafted for its production. The resulting blend is then bottled where it undergoes a second maturation to give it its trademark bubbles in addition to improving its flavors. After which, the finished champagne is then disgorged, rested, and finally labeled, ready to be enjoyed at parties and gatherings all over the world.
Once poured, this coppery orange wine opens up with a vibrant bouquet of wild berries, fresh red fruits, strawberries, dried fruits, biscuits, and Viennese pastries, paving the way for a creamy, well-structured, and racy palate of tart raspberries, more strawberry, more red fruits, zesty lime, and minerality before.
