Each bottle of this lavish liquor begins with a selection of 6 to 25-year-old rums that have been aged in a solera system consisting of ex-bourbon, ex-oloroso sherry, and ex-Pedro Ximenez sherry casks. After being carefully married, the rums are then finished in used cognac barrels to create its first-rate flavor profile which is then tamed with pure water before being finally bottled.
Once poured, this beautiful mahogany-colored rum imparts a rich and plush aroma of zesty orange, burnt caramel, roasted nuts, bourbon, chocolate, floral notes, pipe tobacco, and old oak, paving the way for a scrumptious, warm, and velvety palate of dates, prunes, chocolate-drenched dark cherry, toffee, brown sugar, sherry, rich wood notes, and more pipe tobacco before wrapping up with a long and sweet finish of honey, vanilla, espresso, marzipan, and smoke.
