Launched as part of their core range, the Oban 14 Year Scotch Whisky was developed to be a definite crowd-pleaser and serves as the perfect representative of the distillery’s unique style. Made from 100% malted barley that have been dried using peat-fueled flames, each batch of this Scotch begins with the malt being fermented before being twice-distilled. The resulting spirit then undergoes aging in used oak barrels before finally being brought to proof and bottled.
Golden amber in color, each sip of this Scotch greets its drinker with a pleasing aroma of fresh oranges, pears, and lemons accented by hints of peat and sea salt. This is then complemented by a viscous and full-bodied palate of dried fig, ripe citrus, heather, nuts, seaweed, and smoked malt, all tied together by a long and exceptionally smooth finish of sweet oak and mild saltiness.
