Founded in 1794 by brothers John and Hugh Stevenson, the distillery underwent several ownership changes and rebuilding before being acquired by Diageo who currently markets it as part of the Classic Malts of Scotland - a collection of six whiskies meant to represent the country’s distinct whisky styles.
Launched as their entry-level expression, the Oban 14 Year is a bottling that perfectly embodies the West Highland style of whisky making it an excellent choice for both sipping and mixing. Twice-distilled from peated Scottish barley malt, the Scotch spends a total of 14 years in used oak barrels, slowly developing its flavors.
