Distilled from a mash bill of 70% corn, 16% wheat, and 14% malted barley, the whiskey is left to mature in new, charred American oak barrels. Once the aging period is nearing completion, a selection of seared oak staves dubbed "Stave Profile No. 46", from the Independent Stave Company, is added to the whiskey to further develop its flavor. The finished bourbon is then cut with pure water, bottled, and finally given its iconic red wax seal.
Bright caramel in color, each sip of this bourbon begins with a sweet aroma of caramel, vanilla, buttery toffee, cinnamon roll, and toasted oak. This then gives way to an intense palate of more caramel and vanilla notes accented by a generous helping of wood notes, coconut, and faint baking spices, culminating in a smooth, sweet, and subtle finish.
