After this, the finished Scotch is then cut with pure water from Islay’s Solum Lochs before finally being bottled.
Rich caramel in color, each dram of this whisky yields a hearty aroma of caramel and peat supported by notes of crisp red apples, orange zest, savory smoked meats, brine, and slight medicinal hints. This is then complemented by a viscous and rich palate of even more peat, sherry, ripe orchard fruits, malt, toffee, coffee cake, cinnamon, vanilla, mint, and peppery spice before wrapping up with a long and savory finish of smoke-infused malt and oak.
