Hendrick’s Gin is crafted in small batches of 500 liters in the traditional London Dry style using 11 select botanicals namely angelica, caraway, chamomile, coriander, cubeb pepper, cucumber, elderflower, juniper, lemon, orange, Orris Root, Bulgarian rose, and yarrow. After 21 distillations using a Bennett pot still and a Carter Head, the final result is a delectable and refreshing gin that invokes the feel of eating cucumber sandwiches in British gardens.
Each sip of the crystal clear spirit greets you with a bouquet of rose, lemon zest, cucumber, coriander, cassia, and witch hazel before enveloping your palate with notes of spices, angelica, coriander, juniper, and orris root with light touches of citrus and floral fragrance all shored by a fairly persistent finish of more juniper and citrus notes supported by hints of black pepper and licorice.
In 1999, William Grant and Sons saw a gap in the market for premium gin and so working with their master distillers David Stewart and Lesley Gracey launched Hendrick’s brand in 2001.
