First produced in 1909 and currently serving as the backbone of their range, the Chivas Regal 12 Year is crafted from malt and grain whiskies that have been aged for at least 12 years in used oak barrels. After being selected, these whiskies are then carefully blended by their master blender to create their iconic flavor profile.
Bright gold in color, each dram of this whisky begins with a rich aroma of currants, apples, dried bananas, honey, vanilla, butter toffee, and wood shavings. This is then complemented by a creamy and scrumptious palate of orchard fruits, more dried banana notes, butterscotch, hazelnut, malt, caramel, and allspice, all tied together by a lingering finish of sweet cereal and spice.
