Starting with a neutral spirit as a base, the Bombay Sapphire Gin begins its life with the spirit being re-distilled alongside a selection of 10 botanicals sourced from various regions of the world. This includes almond, angelica, coriander, cassia, lemon peel, licorice, juniper berries, orris root, cubeb, and grains of paradise, all harmoniously working together to give the resulting gin a crisp and well-balanced flavor profile which are then diluted with pure water prior to bottling.
Once poured, this gin opens up with a subtle nose of citrus, juniper, spice, and herbs, paving the way for a crisp and semi-sweet palate of more spice and citrus notes supported by touches of cubeb, orris, cinnamon, more juniper, coriander, licorice, and peppery heat before wrapping up with a firm and lingering finish of juniper, citrus, and coriander.
