Introduced in 1993 by luxury conglomerate LVMH, the Belvedere brand was launched to answer the demand for a super-premium vodka brand. Setting up shop in Żyrardów, Poland, the new company took full advantage of Poland’s rich agricultural bounty and centuries-old tradition of vodka-making to craft spirits worthy of their luxurious designation.
Made from 100% Polish Dankowskie rye, each batch of the Belvedere Vodka begins with the grain being fermented and distilled using a four-column still along with pure Polish water drawn from wells around the distillery. After this, the resulting spirit is then filtered through a thick layer of charcoal to remove any trace of impurities and further mellow its flavor before being cut with more pure water and finally packaged in bottles adorned with the image of the Polish presidential palace in Warsaw from which the vodka gets its name.
Each sip of this vodka begins with a delicate aroma of vanilla and soft cream, paving the way for a creamy and well-balanced palate of more vanilla, white pepper, and toasty spices, culminating in a long and warming finish of clotted cream, almonds, and hints of Brazil nuts.
