Each batch of this whiskey starts with 100% malted Scottish barley which is fermented and distilled twice in copper pot stills before being left to mature in refill bourbon barrels for well over a decade. After this initial beauty rest, the whisky is then transferred to first-fill Oloroso sherry European oak butts for further polishing.
Reddish caramel in color, each dram of this Scotch yields an enticing aroma of sweet fruits, sherry, honey, vanilla, and cocoa which then give way to a smooth and mellow palate of tropical and orchard fruits, more sherry, cinnamon, nuts, licorice, malt, and light wood notes before culminating in a long, smooth, and warming finish.
