Made exclusively from malted Scottish barley, each batch of this Scotch begins with the malt being fermented and then twice-distilled in copper pot stills with the resulting spirit then being left to mature for over a decade in refilled American oak barrels. After this initial beauty rest, the whisky is then transferred to first-fill Oloroso sherry butts where it stays for 9 months developing its final flavor profile before being tapped, diluted, and bottled.
Each dram of this straw-gold whisky conveys an inviting whiff of sweet fruits, Oloroso sherry, vanilla, and honey which lead the way to a gentle and velvety palate of raisins, layered sherry, malt, vanilla, sweet notes, heather, oak, and toasty cinnamon, culminating into a sweet and persistent finish.
