Oh Poinsettia, a living symbol that the holiday season has arrived. Available in almost any store during the month of December, it is almost necessary that you decorate your home with one or one hundred during the Christmas season. Originally red, they now come in almost any shade: red, white, pink, burgundy, marbled and speckled, even blue!

To celebrate this special plant we are sharing the Poinsettia Cocktail.  The Poinsettia is an elegant Champagne cocktail that is perfect for holiday parties, you can mix up a big batch for an easy way of entertaining.

Remember that with any Champagne cocktail, it is best to mix all of the ingredients then add the Champagne just before serving to ensure the freshest bubbly.

Preparation:

Chill all of the ingredients beforehand.

Pour the Cointreau and cranberry juice into a pitcher. Stir well. Add a little of the Cointreau/cranberry mix to the bottom of a champagne flute. Top with Champagne just before serving.
